Splunk Access

Splunk access types can be broadly divided in to the following types -

1. Administrator
2. Power User
3. Search User

Administrator - An Administrator (admin) is a user who does the following tasks.

• Installs splunk
• Upgrades splunk
• Creates indexes and adds data in to splunk.
• Installs applications.
• Provides splunk access to users.
• Troubleshoots issues with Splunk.
